Family and Community Engagement

 

Studies show that when parents are actively engaged in the school life of a child, that child performs better. Therefore Polk County Schools has adopted a plan to promote family and community engagement in the schools. We want all parents to feel welcome in our schools, both as visitors and volunteers. We also want to involve the community in our schools by inviting participation in district and school level activities and including the community in aspects of decision making. The following documents detail our Family and Community Engagement Plan and our Parent/Student/Teacher Compact. The contact information for each elementary school is also listed.
