Centerstone therapists are still serving clients for Polk County Schools. During this time, families and students may be feeling anxious, depressed, lonely, or a number of other emotions and help is available.
Below are some general wellness tips and reminders from the CDC:
Wash your hands often with soap and water (warm or cold) for at least 20 seconds. If soap and water are not available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer.
Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
Stay home when you are sick.
Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.
Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces.
As the Coronavirus situation develops we will continue to update this information.
Meals to You Program
Since our food services program cannot continue to deliver or provide meals for pickup after the last day of school, we are participating in the USDA Meals to You Program. If you sign up for the program, you will receive a box with food for 10 breakfasts and 10 lunches. Any child under 18 in your household is eligible to receive a box. You will receive the boxes through the mail every two weeks through the month of June. If you would like more information about this program, follow the links below.
To sign up for the Meals to You program, go to https://mealstoyou.org/ and select Emergency Meals-to-You, then click Apply for Individual Students. If you need help with your application or have questions about the program, call Jill Nix at 423-299-0471. She will be available from 9:00 am until noon Wednesday through Friday.
